I have seen many realtors who say they intend to crush their goals than I have seen people actually crush their goals. They talk about how they are going to make it to the top, they become so driven they read books and attend training regularly. Then all of a sudden, they go nowhere, the drive is gone. The funny thing is they will always justify their lack of productivity and results on the following and more:

“The competition has advantages, the buyers will not act, and the economy is rough. No luck this year and so on and so on. So many excuses.”

If you really want to crush your goals, it’s not enough for you to find your hustle, passion, and intensity, you equally have to keep and maintain that frequency. Yes! I never said it would be easy but, it would be worth it at the end.  Dig in deep and bring it. Only then will you know what you are capable of.

Let’s take Basket mouth (a famous comedian) for example, he didn’t get this popular by sitting at home and making his family laugh, No, he took the chance and went out, he brought it every day. He took the opportunity. Sure, he missed some, but he went all out, and it turned out great for him eventually. That’s what persistence does for you.

Now that is Basket Mouth and yes I know you would think his industry is different from real estate, but that’s to show what passion, intensity and persistence can do for you. Success is not a respecter of any industry. If you do it right, you will get it right.

Do not get me wrong. I understand that people cannot bring it all the time with all their energy. LIFE HAPPENS (Families have troubles, People hit rough patches, Wedding planning happens, Newborns stay up all night) real competing priorities happen. Then there is the record playing in people’s heads: not sure if they have the skills (self-doubt). Afraid of executive conversations. Afraid of failure. Afraid of success. Afraid.

If raising your game is truly the main concern for you, and you are still not taking the actions you need to sell, here is my best advice:

If you’re not passionate about selling, if you do not approach every day with HPI, it is likely you will find yourself on the short end of the crush-the-target stick.

People judge you by your actions, not your intentions and not even your words. You may have a heart of gold but so does a hard-boiled egg.

Don’t just think about crushing your targets. Go ahead and crush them!
